We are your no-nonsense provider of affordable housing in the Lee and Wise County areas of Southwest Virginia. We started in 1999 and have made a practice of slow growth so that each additional property brought on-line provides our tenants safe, clean, well-maintained housing at affordable, competitive rates.
We now manage over 100 properties in Lee and Wise Counties. We operate both rental and rent-to-own units utilizing our own company financing. We rent to a large range of clientele from college students living on their own for the first time to retirees who have been with us for several years. We are also active participants in the local Redevelopment and Housing Department's Section-8 rental assistance programs.
Although we have a diverse group of tenants they all share some common characteristics; they are well-mannered, keep our properties clean and orderly, are considerate of their neighbors and responsible in their financial obligations with the company. Tenants who do not share these values quickly become ex-tenants!
Fig Enterprises, LLC is a Virginia Limited Liability Company owned by Greg and Dawn Gilbert. The owners live in Wise and are active participants in the day-to-day management of their properties.
Greg is a practicing attorney whose office is located across from the courthouse on Main Street in Wise, Virginia. The owner's law practice includes landlord representation in landlord-tenant disputes.
The owners are active in their support of the University of Virginia's College at Wise, participating in host parent programs for students and a variety of other college-related activities.
