1. Can I pay my rent with my credit card?
Not at this time. We may in the near future set up credit card payments. We accept payment by cash or good check.

2. How long do I have after the 1st of the month to pay rent before I am charged a late fee?
Payment must be received in-full by the 5th of the month in which it is due. A $25 late penalty is charged on the 6th of the month and a $3.00 per day late charge is added to that beginning on the 7th of the month and each successive day until the rent and penalties are paid in full.

3. Am I allowed to have a pet where I live?
Whether a pet is allowed depends on the specific property you lease. Most of our properties are strictly NO PETS. In some instances we allow a pet but only after payment of an extra, non-refundable pet-deposit.

4. Can I sublease my property?
Short and simple, No.

5. What do I do if I lock myself out?
If we have someone available we can let you in. In all instances you will be charged a $25.00 lock-out and travel fee. Be aware however, that workers will not stop work on their assigned tasks to come and let you in. You will have to wait until someone is available.

6. Where do I pay my rent?
We accept rent in person at the Fig Enterprises LLC office located at 201 East Main Street in Wise, Virginia during regular business hours. We also accept rent via mail if it is received by us on the due date.

7. What are your regular office hours?
Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00 PM. Others by appointment.

8. Can I hang pictures on the wall of my unit?
Generally you can hang pictures on the walls unless your lease specifically prohibits the hanging of pictures on the walls. If hanging pictures on the walls causes damage to the walls you will be held accountable for the damage.

9. Can I paint or wallpaper my unit?
No, unless prior approval is received from the landlord.

10. Do you have a 24 hour number in the event of an emergency?
We will provide an emergency contact number but personnel may not be available 24 hours a day.

11. I am interested in renting a unit from you. What do I do now?
You must fill out and submit an application for each adult to be living in the unit. We will investigate the application and get back to you shortly. An application is found on this website by clicking here.

12. I am interested in applying for a rental unit but must first give my current landlord notice. Will you hold the unit for me?
NO. We rent properties to the first approved applicant who has the current pro-rated month's rent and performance deposit with them, regardless of the order they are received.

13. Is there any way to ensure that I get the unit I apply for if my application is approved?
Yes. You can pay the current month's rent plus the damage deposit when you turn in your application. That way you are first in line with an approved application and the money when you are approved. If you are not approved we will refund all your money back to you.

14. Can I apply now to be put on a waiting list for future properties?
Yes. Simply mark your application that you want to be put on a waiting list. We will investigate your application and if approved, will notify you when the type of unit you are interested in come available. You must still pay the current month's pro-rated rent and performance deposit as soon as you are notified.
